I like to think of February as a month of love and appreciation for the people in our lives. I read this in an article some time ago and  I have loved it since the moment I read it! It epitomizes just how I feel about our wonderful associates.

A Diamond in the Rough – The gems we prize are very rare.  We find them only in small deposits in a few places. We begin on a search for potential gem quality.  We interview, we reference and we act based on our gut feelings. Finally, we choose our specimen and begin the process of transformation.  Starting with a rock of simplest form, we begin to chisel to see what we find on the inside. The end result is a Kensington Super Star of Diamond quality.

Discovered Value – Once inside the rock, usually mid-point, we have discovered it’s true worth.  Most times, its value is priceless. We continue to train, educate, mold, appraise, shape, shadow and appreciate.  We have a clue of its potential, so we continue to monitor and mentor. The GEM finally takes shape and form. The final formation is almost complete. Oh, the excitement within us is hardly containable.  Our gem has taken shape!

The Finished Project – What stands before us is a priceless GEM.  Rare in quality, no 2 are alike. It holds qualities unlike any other. Each possessing their own uniqueness yet encompassing integrity, compassion, quality, professionalism and accountability.  What stands before us is the most precious gemstone – our wonderful Kensington team members!

We are fortunate to work with wonderful people.   I feel the same about our residents; we are surrounded by gems!  Have a wonderful month!
