Exceptional Assisted Living
“There is nothing more beautiful than someone who goes out of their way to make life beautiful for others.” – Mandy Hale
The Benefits of Assisted Living – For Loved Ones and Their Families
Assisted living communities actually allow residents to live more independent lives than if they were living at home alone. Rather than staying at home isolated, or depending on their caregivers or others to help, residents can live in a socially rich atmosphere with all their amenities and healthcare services provided on-site, which fosters independence.
A few of the benefits and amenities offered at The Kensington Sierra Madre include:
- Primary Care Manager Program
- Licensed nurses on-site 24 hours a day, everyday
- On-site Physical Therapy and Fitness Center
- Medication Administration handled by Licensed Nurses and Medication Technicians
- Life Enrichment activities are available 7 days a week, from morning until evening
- All day Dining with table linens, china, and crystal with nutritious and tasty menu selections such as prime rib, grilled salmon, fresh vegetables, and much more
- Accommodations to a wide variety of special diets including low sodium, low sugar, heart healthy, and more wide variety of Suite Plans with options for private or companion living
The Benefits of Aging in Place in Assisted Living
The Kensington Sierra Madre is committed to providing outstanding care every day to our residents with a full spectrum of clinical support and social engagement. We can accommodate all of our residents’ changing health care needs to allow them to “age in place.”
Aging in place means our residents will never be required to move out of assisted living if their health care needs change or increase.
Our Enhanced Assisted Living Residence (EALR) license enables us to provide a higher continuum of healthcare, providing medical services that many traditional assisted living communities don’t offer, including:
- Medication administration
- Diabetes injections
- 24-hour emergency care
- Personal care such as dressing, bathing, and toilet assistance
We gladly welcome all residents into our community regardless of their condition, including those who are wheelchair-bound, require a higher acuity of care, have specialized dietary needs, or require other specialized care.
If you have questions about the care our team at The Kensington Redondo Beach can provide, please don’t wait to get in touch with us.
Two Distinct Memory Care Neighborhoods
In honoring Our Promise to allow our residents to “age in place,” we have two distinct memory care communities to help residents in all stages of memory loss.
Connections is for residents who are in the early to middle stages of memory loss caused by Alzheimer’s or dementia. In Connections, we help residents live as independently as possible in a home-like space that fosters a sense of familiarity. Our Connections neighborhood has a terrace and garden areas to allow residents to freely enjoy fresh air and sunshine. We also offer wander management technology to manage our residents’ whereabouts while they move around freely.
Haven is for residents in the middle to late stages of memory loss. Haven residents receive a higher level of assistance and care, including help maintaining appearance and keeping good hygiene, including nurses who can help manage incontinence.
Haven is also a fully-secured environment that includes an adaptive design including painted walls and doors, motion sensors, and specially designed carpet and memory boxes to help residents with recognition and to minimize confusion.
Both neighborhoods include our trained staff who work hard to meet our residents where they are, always being aware that memory loss affects everyone differently.
