Grandma Theresa Bread by Leandra Sims

My Grandmother Theresa moved here from Poland as a young girl.  She came over through Ellis Island and lived in a community of Polish women.  They put together a cookbook of their recipes to share and continue what they grew up with.  My grandmother always tried to continue the tradition of cooking with me as a child.  From as early as I can remember I would spend time in Pasadena, CA in her small kitchen baking bread from scratch.  She taught me each step to carry on the traditions that she had learned herself.  Her recipe for white bread is the recipe I would love to share with you.  My mom has the cookbook and sent a photo of the recipe and I was able to bake the bread.  Each step brought back memories of baking with my grandmother.  The bread is amazing and as the recipe indicates, it is impossible to fail!
