Join us for an insightful discussion on caregiver stories, personal perspectives, and wisdom. Moderated by Paolina Milana, author of The Caregiver Chronicles, this panel discussion will bring together caregivers that authored chapters in Milana’s book.
Meet and greet with these family caregiver authors: Wendy Lew Toda, Makeba Pease, Karen Klink, Debbie Tynan, and Parissa Kermani. They will discuss the challenges and triumphs of being a caregiver, strategies for caregiver self-care, and the power of storytelling in the caregiving journey. Whether you’re a caregiver yourself or know someone who is, this event promises to be enlightening and inspiring for all.
Whether it’s a grandparent, a parent, a sibling, a spouse, or anyone you consider to be “family”… Being a caregiver to someone who no longer can care for themselves is challenging. It’s full of physical demands and emotional stresses… and so many rewards. Family caregivers are unpaid and unsung heroes; this book is dedicated to them. With 22 family caregivers sharing their personal stories in this book, these voices offer insights, inspiration, and a reality check about those ties that bind.
