Join Jennie Clark with Stanford’s Aging Adult Services at Stanford Health Care for a discussion for family caregivers for those living with dementia. 

*Learn more about the role of family caregiving including the challenges and opportunities for caregivers.
*Discuss common unmet needs of family caregivers.
*Discover common unmet needs of people living with dementia and how they manifest in difficult behaviors.
*Learn how to better communicate with a person living with dementia.
*How to use person-centered dementia care as an intervention to reduce difficult behaviors and increase well-being.
*Learn about care planning and available resources.

 

 

 

Jennie Clark is a Credentialed Professional Gerontologist, Certified Geriatric Care Manager, Certified Dementia Practitioner, Certified Montessori Dementia Care Professional, and Board Certified in Alzheimer Education. Jennie received her Master of Arts degree in Gerontology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She has worked with older adults in public, private, government, and non-profit sectors. Currently, Jennie manages the Memory Support Program at Stanford Health Care and sits on the Clinical Core for the NIH Stanford Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center. She lectures and presents on the topics of person-centered dementia care and caregiving in dementia. She is published in academic journals and has co-authored clinical and research manuals.
