In 2022, The Kensington Sierra Madre became the first Positive Approach to Care® (PAC) designated senior living community in California, and now we want to share our expertise with YOU! Positive Approach to Care®, created by Teepa Snow, enhances life and relationships of those living with brain change by fostering an inclusive global community. It uses our talents and abilities to develop awareness, knowledge, and skill with all people, to transform what exists into a more positive dementia care culture.

Please join us for this very special two-part workshop series hosted by our Kensington PAC-Certified Coaches Leandra Sims, Connections Memory Care Manager; Daniel Orozco, Haven Memory Care Manager; Marjorie Villarosa, Director of Assisted Living; Natalie Maldonado, Care Partner; and Marina Lopez, Care Partner.  They will discuss ways to create a more supportive environment to match the abilities of those with various forms of brain change.

Marjorie Villarosa, Director of Assisted Living, has worked in senior living for over 15 years. Her love for helping aging adults began during childhood, when her grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. She learned firsthand what it was like to care for a loved one living with dementia. She shares, “I have been passionate about caring for seniors because of their wisdom, resilience, and gratitude for the things we may miss in our everyday busy lives.”

Natalie Maldonado, Haven Lead Care Partner & PAC-Certified Coach, has worked in senior living for over seven years. She enjoys working with aging adults because they are like family, and bring her a tremendous amount of love and care.
