“My basic philosophy is simply to have fun while I strive and struggle to achieve a satisfactory painting. It’s important to me to enjoy what I
am doing. Everything motivates me, especially color, nature, and people. My favorite medium is watercolor with a dabbling in acrylic and collage. I paint representational, impressionistic, and abstract watercolors. I have taken many classes and workshops from Pete Morris, Jan Wright, Fealing Lin, Julie Crouch, Keiko Tanabe, John Byram, and Barbara Nechis.”
Elana received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Chouinard Art School. She was a fashion designer for Jantzen Sportswear, Miss Pat, Motherhood Maternity, and California Cobblers. She switched to craft manufacturing for 10 years. She taught Arts and Crafts in Adult Education and was an Elementary Education Teacher until retirement. Since retirement she devotes full time to art.
Join us for an exhibition of Elana’s work.
Wine and cheese will be served.
