June is Alzheimer’s & Brain Awareness Month. In the spirit of taking care of our brains, let’s welcome a new day with Morning Yoga & Mindfulness for Caregivers. It’s time to relax, rejuvenate and recharge your mind, body and soul!
It is no secret that yoga is good for your cognitive health. When you practice yoga, changes occur in your brain. Yoga strengthens and improves cognitive skills such as memory, attention, awareness, thought and language.
As a caregiver, a proactive approach to brain health and protecting your mental wellbeing is critical to taking the best care of loved ones. Recharging your batteries and practicing mindfulness not only improves cognitive function, but gives you the self-care you need as well.

Meet Our Yoga Instructor: Leandra Sims, Memory Care Manager, PAC Coach & Yoga Enthusiast! As Connections Memory Care Manager and PAC-Certified Coach here at The Kensington, Leandra has a special passion for brain health. She has been practicing yoga for over fourteen years and believes deeply in its cognitive benefits. She can’t wait to share her love for yoga with you!
