Brandon Wolfeld, MD, MA, is a medical director for VITAS® Healthcare in San Gabriel, California. In this role, he oversees the clinical aspects of hospice care, including eligibility, appropriateness, and medical care. He also educates team members to maintain high standards. Dr. Wolfeld is board certified in internal medicine and is in the process of attaining hospice and palliative medicine certification. With an extensive background in research, Dr. Wolfeld has ongoing projects to review palliative care providers’ documentation of prognostic awareness, among others. He has served on various committees for bioethics, LGBTQ+ curricula development, and more.
